Hear about the area’s ground-making (landfill!) and ground-breaking history. See the Victorian architecture. Learn about the eight granite and bronze statues along the Mall. Be inspired by who they were and their commitment to change, activism, and freedom. Want to hear stories about contemporary Back Bay life? That's definitely part of the tour! This 90-minute walk covers about one mile and is on a paved, tree-covered path.
